Lead Teacher – FriendShip Preschool
FriendShip Preschool is seeking a loving, creative, and flexible individual with teaching experience to serve as a Lead Teacher in our FriendShip I program.
About FriendShip Preschool
Our mission is to provide our community with a high-quality early childhood program in a Christian setting that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children. We use play as the primary means of learning and growth while fostering discovery, friendships, and a joyful preschool experience.
Position Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Assess the developmental, emotional, and educational needs of children
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Build strong partnerships with parents and caregivers
- Collaborate with the Classroom Assistant and other FriendShip Preschool staff, especially those sharing classroom space
Qualifications
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children and families
- Required clearances:
- Child Abuse Clearance (CY113)
- Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check (SP4-164)
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain certification prior to the start of the school year)
Schedule
- Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. (September–May)
- Friday: 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (January–May)
- FriendShip Preschool follows a traditional school-year calendar.
