BLANKET SUNDAYS | MAY 3 & 10
In honor of Mother’s Day each May, the Deacons ask that you consider donating to Church World Service by “buying” a blanket in memory of, or to honor, the special women in our lives.
Stop by the Robinson Room on May 3 and 10 to make your purchase. Thank you!
What difference can a blanket make?
A blanket can provide warmth to a victim of a hurricane, tornado, flood or fire, or serve as bedding to a guest in a homeless shelter or be a gift of welcome to a newly arrived refugee or migrant worker. In 2025, Church World Service distributed over 17,317 blankets worldwide, including the United States, along with the additional following items:
- 39,300 school kits
- 1,600 disaster preparedness kits
- 5,400 cleanup buckets
- 71,760 hygiene kits
