What: A 3.5 mile loop on easy to moderate terrain. We’ll begin at the Hollow Oak Land Trust Parking parking area off of Hassam Road. The hike starts with a descent into the Meek’s Run valley. We cross over Meek’s Run, walk beside Montour Run, and peek into the small cave. We continue onto the Hemlock Trail for some elevation gain and switchbacks. The trail narrows as we continue up and across a lovely ridge. We’ll pop onto the Powerline Trail and Honeydew Trail. The last mile of the hike brings us back to Meek’s Run and a mini waterfall. Total elevation gain is 420 feet.
Where: We’ll meet in the Montour Woods Conservation area parking lot located at 1875 Hassam Road. Here is the location on google maps. Continue to drive just a bit further than the google location. The parking lot will be on your right. The coordinates are 40.490966, -80.153931.
