Job Title: Classroom Assistant

Job Description:  FriendShip Preschool is searching for loving, creative, flexible individuals with prior experience working with children for open positions a Classroom Assistant in our Children’s Corner classroom. Responsibilities include, assisting Lead Teacher with classroom tasks, activities and implementation of daily program for children who are 2 to 3 years old; daily care of children including diaper changing; interaction with students to support growth, learning, and positive self-esteem: advanced preparation of materials for upcoming lessons; occasional parent communication; classroom preparation throughout the day for snack, art projects, etc.

Our mission at FriendShip Preschool is to provide our community with a high-quality, Christian, faith-based early childhood program that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children. FriendShip uses play as the primary means to develop skills and growth while fostering discovery, friendships, and enjoyment in the preschool experience.

Requirements:

• High school diploma; college degree preferred
• Prior experience working with toddlers and preschool-age children and their families
• Clearances
  • Child Abuse CY113
  • PA Criminal SP4-164
  • FBI Fingerprint Record
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the start of school)

Hours: 

• • Monday – Thursday 8:30 AM – 12 PM
