In honor of Mother’s Day each May, the Deacons ask that you consider donating to Church World Service by “buying” a blanket in memory of, or to honor, the special women in our lives.

What difference can a blanket make?
A blanket can provide warmth to a victim of a hurricane, tornado, flood or fire, or serve as bedding to a guest in a homeless shelter or be a gift of welcome to a newly arrived refugee or migrant worker. In 2023, Church World Service distributed over 32,785 blankets worldwide, including the United States, along with the additional following items:
- 32,610 school kits
- 7,349 emergency clean up buckets
- 616 welcome back packs
- 38,190 hygiene kits
